Board & Committees

Journey's Way, a program of Intercommunity Action, Inc., is advised and governed by a Board of Directors and several advisory groups, all volunteers, committed to the mission, service goals and best interests of INTERAC and Journey's Way  and its participants and consumers.  The Board of Directors has committees that drive the work of the agency.  The Aging Services Committee of the Board of Directors works to fulfill the mission of Journey's Way to help older adults live life to the fullest as they age in their communities.  This committee is made up of consumer representatives, board members, committed professionals in the field and community leaders.

Journey's Way benefits from the advice and counsel of its members through the Center Advisory Committee.  This Committee meets monthly to communicate the concerns of the Center members to the staff and advise and assist the staff on all matters regarding  programs and services provided by the Center.

Other committees include:

Program Committee that makes decisions regarding new programs and evaluates their effectiveness.

The Center Accreditation Committee that assists the Center toward national accreditation and meets as needed. 

Pensdale Village Residents Council arranges programs for the residents of the apartment house and represents their interests to the Pensdale Village Board and management.
