Neighbor to Neighbor Volunteers
The Neighbor to Neighbor program is an exciting new initiative of Journey’s Way that links community volunteers with older homeowners and renters in our area -- particularly people who have become isolated and have few supports of their own. The goal is help older residents remain safe and secure in their homes, while also strengthening community ties.
Our Neighbor-to-Neighbor volunteers provide free home-support services to older residents in a variety of straightforward, useful ways. Consider joining us--you'll be on standby to provide one or all of the services:
CHORE SERVICE: Be available to do light chores, fix-up and cleaning, indoors or out.
RIDE SERVICE: Use your car to take someone to the doctor or pharmacy. Run errands. Pick up groceries.
FRIENDLY VISITS: Be a phone buddy who makes regular calls to check in and chat. You also could pay a visit, play cards, help lift spirits.
To apply, download and complete the Neighbor-to-Neighbor application and return it to the address below.
